Overview of the software interface

When you start DTC Remover, the main window holds everything you need to clear fault codes from an ECU file. This page is a quick tour of its areas (Figure 1).

Select ECU

The Select ECU panel is where you choose the control-unit type the file belongs to, so the program knows how to read and edit it.

Toolbar

Buttons along the toolbar open the supporting tools:



Status bar

The status bar at the bottom shows your dongle ID and the days remaining on the licence (click it to reactivate for another 60 days when fewer than 15 remain), a message for the current operation, and a link to open the log window. Elsewhere on the screen you will also find links to View Online Help and to Search for a similar file online.

Tip — New here? Start with Removing fault codes for the full open → enter codes → DTC OFF → Save workflow.
